NEW MODELS CAR

Nissan revealed details on the new generation Patrol, the biggest SUV in the company’s line-up, with a history of more than five decades. Featuring new exterior design and new roomier interior, the new Patrol will compete with models like Toyota Land Cruiser.
The SUV is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 engine with VVEL (variable valve event and lift) and DIG (direct injection gasoline) technologies that generate 400hp and 550Nm of torque. The SUV sits on four-wheel independent suspension, and features technologies like: hydraulic brakes, hill start assist, and hill descent control.
On 17 December Nissan will launch special versions of both the Navara Pickup and Patrol 4x4 to commemorate its successful tie-up with the high-profile ‘Long Way Down’ expedition, currently being shown on Sunday evenings on BBC2. The limited edition open-top Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport will be the world's fastest open top car, capable of traveling at 360kmh with the roof off, and 407kmh with it closed. Just 150 will be made of the EUR 1.4 million Grand Sport with the first 40 reserved for existing Bugatti customers. The usual cut-no-corners approach has seen the original Veyron virtually re-engineered to accommodate the lack of the roof as a structural component.

Hungary is not the first place that comes to mind when thinking about cutting edge green vehicles, yet. If the creators of the Antro Solo have their way, the country will be synonymous with green machines by 2012. The Antro Solo is a solar, human and gas-electric hybrid vehicle. It looks like nothing else out there, and has a fuel efficiency of more than 150 miles per gallon!The Antro Solo is a three seat gas-electric hybrid prototype made entirely out of carbon fiber. This material choice allowed the graphic designers to lower the weight of the vehicle to a measly 270kg. This also allowed them to achieve phenomenal fuel efficiency and a pretty decent top speed of 87mph. All of this is impressive enough, but the Solo’s designers were not content to stop there.

In order to maximize the efficiency of the vehicle, the designers installed solar panels on the roof. These solar panels store energy in the car’s batteries which can be used for short 15-25km trips. If there hasn’t been enough sun to power the batteries, each passenger’s seat comes equipped with pedals that can power the vehicles generator. If you are by yourself, or everyone gets tired, the car can switch to its small combustion engine that is capable of running on petrol or ethanol

An all-new Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle (PPV) will join the ranks of law enforcement departments across North America in 2011. It's a modern, full-size, rear-drive sedan that will offer both V-8 and V-6 engines, as well as a host of specialized equipment and features.
Unlike other police cars on the market, the Caprice PPV is not based on existing "civilian" passenger-car model sold in North America. It has been developed in key areas specifically for police duty, containing modern equipment and features.
